TRANSFER BAN SHOCK AT FENERBAHÇE

The boss of world football, FIFA, took a very striking sanction decision regarding Turkey Super League side Fenerbahçe and imposed a transfer ban on the club. The main reason for this development, which created a shock effect in the sports public, went down in the records as a debt of the club remaining from the past period and not paid on time. Following the sanction decision taken against it, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee granted the Istanbul representative a legal period of exactly 45 days to close the debt in question. However, the Fenerbahçe management did not make the expected payment within this 45-day timeframe. With the expiration of the given period, FIFA officials took direct action and officially applied the transfer ban measure to the yellow-navy blue team for 3 periods. This sanction prevented the club from strengthening its squad with new players in the upcoming process on paper. Fans and the sports press experienced great anxiety after this unexpected penalty. Club officials prepared an urgent action plan for the rapid resolution of the issue. In the details of the decision, it was expressed that this ban was not permanent and was completely tied to the condition of payment. FIFA officials reported that the moment the Fenerbahçe club paid the mentioned debt, this 3-period ban lifted instantly. No day limit or deadline was presented to the institution for the realization of the payment process. It reflected in the press that the board aimed to solve this.
