ESTUDIANTES LOST: PRESIDENT VERON WENT CRAZY

The Argentine Super Cup final witnessed a major scandal rarely seen on football pitches. Estudiantes and Rosario faced each other in the cup struggle. In a breathtaking match, Rosario defeated its rival 3-1 and lifted the championship trophy. On the Estudiantes front, a great anger towards the referee decisions prevailed throughout the match. Right after the final whistle, Estudiantes President, the legendary football man Sebastian Veron, left the protocol stand and went directly down to the green pitch. Veron, who went almost crazy with anger, walked towards the central referee of the match and shouted at him as a thief multiple times. This unique outburst of anger from the president shocked the fans in the stadium and the viewers at home. Security forces made an intense effort to keep the angry president away from the referee trio. The Argentine football public discusses this aggressive attitude exhibited by Veron on the green pitches with a great astonishment. The referee committee prepares a detailed report to submit to the federation after the match. The disciplinary boards of the Argentine Football Association are expected to apply very harsh sanctions against Sebastian Veron, who went on the pitch and heavily insulted the referee. Estudiantes fans stand behind their president while rebelling against referee mistakes over social media. The football world continues to talk about this incredible tension at the end of the match rather than the winner of the cup.
