IRISH BAZUNU'S ISRAEL BOYCOTT

A great shock was experienced in the Ireland National Team before the Israel match. The team's successful goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu decided not to take the pitch against Israel by reacting to the loss of lives of innocent civilians. The young goalkeeper stated that representing his country means everything to him, but he wanted to exhibit the right stance as a character with strong beliefs. Sharing his decision with the public from his social media account, Bazunu made statements that he took such a step because he absolutely found the killing of innocent people wrong. The Irish player especially underlined that this boycott was not made against the people of Israel or their religious beliefs, but it was completely a reaction against the political figures ruling the country. The goalkeeper believed that people only have a few chances to take a big step in life, and thought that this moment was one of those special chances. Gavin Bazunu, who did not step back in any way after this radical decision he took, officially left the national team camp. The Ireland technical committee prepared an urgent action plan upon this sudden development. In order to fill the gap of Bazunu who left the camp, goalkeeper James Talbot is included in the national team squad in an urgent manner. The football world closely follows this honorable stance exhibited by the Irish goalkeeper off the pitch with his social media statements. The Ireland National Team continues its training without slowing down despite this deficiency experienced. Sports authorities discuss the reflections of such boycotts with great attention.
