EMERY'S CITY COMMENT: "MANY CLUBS INFLATE THEIR BUDGET"

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery made very striking statements regarding the financial fraud accusations targeting the Manchester City club managed by Enzo Maresca recently. The Spanish coach made a remarkable evaluation about budget management and financial fair play rules in the football world. The experienced manager conveyed all his thoughts with these words in the interview he gave to the journalists: "Many clubs inflate their budget. It’s known to everyone. Because to build a squad, you have to deal with the restrictions related to financial fair play. You also have to balance the finances between departures and arrivals. Now, it’s up to the tribunals to sort it out. What affects me is that people are talking about a team that played exceptionally well with Pep Guardiola…" With these clear words, Emery emphasized the difficulties of financial rules and the efforts of clubs to stretch them. Recently, Enzo Maresca took over the managerial duty at the Manchester City team, not Pep Guardiola. However, Emery showed a great reaction to the fact that the legendary football the team reflected on the pitch during the Guardiola era remained in the shadow of these heavy financial claims put forward today. The successful manager clearly stated that it was necessary to wait patiently for the result of the judicial process. Football authorities met this sincere and brave confession of Emery with a great surprise. These comments made especially about how giant clubs actually manage their budgets aroused a huge echo in the international sports media. Independent tribunals will examine this complex file and allegations in detail in the upcoming months. Institutions will announce the final decision to the public. The historic decisions will directly affect the course of English football. All football fans will follow the process very closely.
