OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM FA: ALVARO ARBELOA REFERRED TO DISCIPLINE

The English Football Association (FA) launched an official disciplinary investigation into Fulham Manager Alvaro Arbeloa. The harsh statements made by the Spanish coach after the tough Premier League struggle played between Fulham and Manchester United on Sunday, September 20, create a great crisis in island football. According to the official statement published by the FA, the experienced manager directly targets the impartiality of the referees with the expressions he used in his post-match interview and is accused of acting inappropriately by questioning the integrity of a match official. These heavy criticisms towards the referee decisions immediately found a response within the scope of the federation's zero tolerance policy. Federation officials express at every opportunity that they will absolutely not tolerate such statements in order to protect the referee institution. According to the statement coming from the official authorities, Alvaro Arbeloa will submit his defense against these serious accusations directed at him to the federation by Thursday, October 1 at the latest. The Fulham management and technical committee currently spend an intense effort to prepare the defense file. The disciplinary board, which will convene after the submitted defense, will definitively decide whether the Spanish manager will receive a punishment or not. People talk that the punishment to be given at the end of this process will cause Arbeloa to lose his place on the bench. All eyes are now completely turned to the official defense that will be presented to the FA building on Thursday, October 1.
