OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM FENERBAHÇE REGARDING THE TRANSFER BAN

Fenerbahçe Sports Club published the expected official statement with all its transparency regarding FIFA's three-period transfer ban decision, which aroused a wide echo in the sports press and worried the fans. The yellow and navy blue club announced to the public that the sanction in question reflected a completely temporary situation and was related to the transfer fee of the star striker Youssef En Nesyri, who joined the team in the 2024-2025 season. In the details of the statement, it was clearly stated that the opposing club made a direct initiative before FIFA because the transfer installment dated April 30, 2026, regarding the talented footballer's transfer fee was not paid on time. The new board of directors of Fenerbahçe paid this delayed installment completely right after taking office. However, the process became more complicated when the relevant club demanded the rapid collection of the next installment in the lawsuit filed before FIFA. Yellow and navy blue officials patiently waited for FIFA's final decision for the second payment in question. The club reported that it realized the ordered payment instantly on Monday, the first working day after the decision arrived, and this transfer ban officially lifted right after the completion of all bureaucratic procedures before FIFA. The board of directors successfully prevented possible crisis claims by publishing this official text that relieved the fans. Furthermore, club officials officially announced that all detailed financial tables and obligations regarding the past period were shared transparently with congress members on September 27, 2026.
