The NBA world is buzzing following Kevin Durant's recent comments. The superstar stated that the 2026 Philadelphia 76ers, described as a dream team, are "miles better" on paper than the legendary 2017 Golden State Warriors. This striking comment, which started a massive debate among basketball fans, has already become one of the most talked-about topics on social media.

When comparing the two iconic rosters, Durant presented his arguments in detail. Drawing attention to the 76ers' current lineup of stars, the veteran player emphasized the unique achievements of this quartet: "Joel Embiid recently became MVP. Jaylen Brown was recently named Finals MVP. Tyrese Maxey has been a consistent All-Star for the last three years. We all already know what LeBron James is capable of."

On the other hand, he evaluated the statistics and achievements of his former team, the 2017 Warriors, from a slightly different perspective. Durant said, "Klay Thompson was never even an MVP candidate, he was scoring 22 points per game back then. Draymond Green averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Steph Curry was an MVP just like Joel Embiid. But on paper, I really don't understand how the 2017 Warriors are better than this current 76ers team." These words are considered a bold challenge to the legacy of the 2017 Warriors, widely regarded as one of the most dominant teams in NBA history.
