ZLATAN'S WELCOME TO GIROUD: I AM THE KING HERE

Making sincere statements to the L'Equipe newspaper, French striker Olivier Giroud shares the unforgettable and smile-inducing memory he experienced with legendary star Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he first transferred to AC Milan. The experienced forward, who played with many different stars throughout his career, states that the Swedish legend mocked him badly on the first day he stepped into the Italian giant. While explaining that first meeting moment, Giroud conveys that Ibrahimovic came up to him, welcomed him first, and then revealed that famous ego of his, saying, "It is nice you came here, but know this: There is only one King here, and it is me." The French star, who experienced a great surprise and a smile upon these words, expresses that Zlatan is a truly unique character. Ibrahimovic, who actually has a very different communication style towards his teammates behind his tough stance on the pitch, determines the hierarchy in the locker room with his own methods through such sharp outbursts. Giroud specifically emphasizes that this attitude, which felt surprising at first, turned into a great respect over time and that meeting a legend like him and sweating the same jersey was a wonderful experience for him. Following that joking on the first day, the two master strikers formed a very harmonious duo in the Milan attack line and played a massive role in the historic successes the team won. Even years later, the football world continues to talk about this unique self-confidence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the entertaining memories he left behind with great pleasure.
