REAL MADRID'S INCREDIBLE STREAK: 120 GAMES ZERO GOALS

Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid is struggling with a rather interesting free-kick curse that turns statistics upside down. The whites, who have the best attacking players in the world, failed to find the net from a direct free-kick in the league for exactly four years. Brazilian star Rodrygo scored the capital team's last goal in this field in the match played against Sevilla in the 2022-2023 season. Failing to find a free-kick goal against their opponents since then, Real Madrid's longing in this area reached exactly 120 matches. Actually, Turkish national footballer Arda Guler came very close to ending this bad trend. In the wonderful free-kick taken by the young talent against Elche, the ball met the net, but the officials did not directly credit this goal to Arda Guler. Due to the ball bouncing off the post and hitting the goalkeeper, the goal was officially recorded as an own goal by the Elche goalkeeper. As a result of this unlucky decision, Arda Guler's magnificent strike was not enough to break the streak, and the club's longing for a free-kick goal continued from where it left off. While free-kick masters like Cristiano Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Gareth Bale, and Sergio Ramos played in the team for years, the current squad's inability to produce a free-kick goal for 120 matches resonated widely in the Spanish press. Fans began to wait with great curiosity to see when this 120-game unbelievable statistic will be broken.
