GERMANY BECAME ORDINARY: SCHWEINSTEIGER'S MESSAGE TO KLOPP

Jürgen Klopp's career at the head of the Germany National Team did not start as he expected at all. The experienced coach caused a huge disappointment for his fans in the first 2 matches he played in the UEFA Nations League. While Germany drew 1-1 with the Netherlands in its first match, it then lost 0-1 to Greece at home. This surprise defeat created an earthquake effect in the country's football. Bastian Schweinsteiger, one of the legendary names of German football, made very striking evaluations about the current state of the team. Speaking after the bad results, Schweinsteiger ruthlessly criticized the current squad with the words, "We are no longer a top-level team. We are an ordinary team. We no longer have players who make a difference." Drawing attention to the squad quality of the rivals, the legendary player emphasized the lack of talent in German football by saying, "Even Greece has Karetsas, Tzolis, Pavlidis." Arguing that the national team is very far from its old days, Schweinsteiger expressed his expectations from the new coach by saying, "I hope Jürgen Klopp manages to create a team that can play 'Klopp football'." These heavy criticisms of Schweinsteiger find a wide repercussion in the German press. The football public waits with curiosity how Klopp will solve this deep crisis and how he will get the team back on its feet. German fans demand urgent solutions from Klopp to return the team to those old dominant days. The national team continues its preparations for the next matches under an intense pressure.
