Max Dowman, a product of the Arsenal academy, has become the youngest player in English Premier League history to qualify for a winners' medal. Appearing for Arsenal in the 2025/26 season, the young player was just 16 years and 144 days old when he achieved this milestone.
With this statistic, Dowman broke the long-standing record held by Manchester City's Phil Foden. Foden was 17 years and 350 days old when he won the Premier League title with Manchester City in the 2017/18 season. Dowman lowered this record by more than a year to claim the top spot on the list.
Behind these two names on the list of the Premier League's youngest champions are familiar faces. Manchester City's Rico Lewis ranks third at 18 years and 188 days, while Brahim Diaz, currently playing for Real Madrid, sits fourth with his 18 years and 283 days statistic from his time at City. Further down the list are Gael Clichy (18 years and 294 days), who was part of Arsenal's 2003/04 squad, and former Manchester United full-back Rafael (18 years and 319 days).
According to Premier League regulations, a player must make at least 5 league appearances to receive an official winners' medal. The fact that 16-year-old Max Dowman received opportunities at the first-team level and reached this criterion shows that the Arsenal coaching staff trusts the young player and integrated him into the squad rotation.
