MONTELLA's CROSSROADS: NUMBER ONE SUCCESSOR IS ARDA TURAN!

Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu always displayed a positive attitude towards the National Team Manager Vincenzo Montella from the very first day he took office. However, the heavy defeat the national team took against Italy completely changed the balances in the federation corridors. Right after the Italy disaster, the TFF management takes very serious steps in the background for the first time about parting ways with the Italian coach. A highly critical Belgium and Italy fixture stands in front of Vincenzo Montella right now in the National Team, which started its Nations League adventure with 0 points in 2 matches. The crescent-star squad will take the pitch in the difficult Belgium away game on Friday. If the nationals return with a defeat from the Belgium away game as well, the possibility of the team dropping from League A to League B will seriously increase. Because of this giant risk, it will not be surprising at all for the TFF management to press the button immediately in case of a possible defeat and start a great mobilization for a managerial change. While the football public follows this critical process closely right now, the names to replace Montella slowly become clear as well. In case of a possible separation, Arda Turan, who currently manages the Ukrainian giant Shakhtar Donetsk, takes place at the very top of the list as the number one successor. The young and successful coach Arda Turan wants to draw his career planning primarily on European football and club career. However, the experienced football man does not close the doors completely when it comes to the National Team and looks extremely warmly upon an official offer to come from the federation. The result of the Belgium match to be played on Friday will directly determine not only Montella's but also all the managerial destiny of Turkish football in the short term. While the Arda Turan claims create a great excitement among the fans, the federation officials also wait for the final whistle of Friday's match.
