NOT IN HIS FATHER'S FOOTSTEPS, ON HIS OWN PATH: DANIEL MALDINI

The Maldini surname always carries a very heavy weight in Italian football, and legendary defensive players directly come to the minds of fans. Daniel Maldini, who grew up in the shadow of his father Paolo Maldini and is constantly compared to him, succeeds in breaking this massive expectation pressure. The twenty-seven-year-old talented player builds a completely different career for himself in the attacking zone, in complete contrast to the defensive line where his family became legends. Daniel attracts all the attention with the superior performance he exhibited recently with the Cagliari jersey. Taking the stage in the last three tough matches his team played in Serie A, the successful attacking player catches a massive goal streak by shaking the nets of Udinese, Atalanta, and Lecce. Fitting exactly three goals into the last two hundred and four minutes he stayed on the pitch, the talented footballer becomes the biggest weapon of his team. This flawless form of Daniel gains great appreciation not only at the club level but also nationally. The technical committee of the Italian National Team does not remain indifferent to this rise of the twenty-seven-year-old attacking player and includes him officially in the national team squad. For Daniel Maldini, whose name was always mentioned as a great potential in the previous years of his career, the time to transform this potential into consistency starts officially now. The successful player, who combines the football intelligence inherited from his family with his creativity and finishing in attack, adorns the giant headlines of the Italian sports press. The heavy defender image that the Maldini name created in Italy changes gradually with the goals Daniel scored and the offensive football he exhibits. Preparing to wear the national jersey, the twenty-seven-year-old star draws his own independent path with great courage instead of following in his father's footsteps.
