SEPARATION SOUNDS AT REAL MADRID: TIES BROKEN WITH MOURINHO

The ties between head coach Jose Mourinho and the board of directors completely broke at Real Madrid, the world giant club of the Spanish La Liga. AS, one of the leading newspapers of the Spanish sports press, brought to its pages that the possibility of the Portuguese manager's dismissal was very high. The purple and white team experienced a massive collapse not only in terms of gameplay but also in results after the seven weeks left behind in the league. The capital representative made the worst start of the last seven seasons with the results it obtained in this process. While the seventh week of the league was left behind, Real Madrid fell exactly six points behind its arch-rival and league leader Barcelona. This unexpected picture in the standings created a huge crisis in the club building. The only element that shook the board of directors' trust in Mourinho was not just the bad results obtained. President Florentino Perez and his staff also felt great discomfort from the situation of the young Turkish talent Arda Guler within the team. The fact that head coach Jose Mourinho took Arda Guler out of the game early in almost every match or gave the young star very little time caused serious discussions on the management floor. The club management thought that the on-pitch development of the Turkish player, who was added to the squad with a huge investment and shown among the biggest star candidates of the future, was deliberately hindered. When all these factors came on top of each other, the Real Madrid management held an urgent crisis meeting. The future of the Portuguese coach in the team was laid on the table in the meeting. The Spanish press expressed with a very clear language that Mourinho's duty would be terminated immediately if the bad trend continued. Sources close to the club stated that the management already started searching for a new head coach. Madrid fans also showed very harsh reactions to the Portuguese coach over social media, especially due to his persistent attitude regarding Arda Guler.
