As Lukaku's move to Fenerbahce remains in the spotlight, the striker's injury history throughout his career is also coming under scrutiny. According to published statistics, the 33-year-old Belgian forward has suffered a total of 44 separate injuries during his career. A large portion of these are concentrated in the upper calf area, where the player has suffered muscle strains or minor tears on as many as 17 occasions. Lukaku has also suffered 10 ankle sprains or ligament strains, while foot issues — including impact-related pain, sprains and swelling — have kept him out on six occasions.

According to the statistics, Lukaku has suffered three muscle strains each in the back and arm, two groin strains including a minor tear, one knee strain with swelling, and one calf muscle strain accompanied by pain. The player has also suffered one minor head knock with swelling during his career, in addition to five separate absences due to illness.

Given such an extensive injury history, combined with his age and physical build, the question of how well Lukaku can stay fit amid the Super Lig's demanding fixture schedule remains a significant point of concern for fans. As the transfer process progresses, the club's management is expected to conduct a detailed assessment of the player's physical condition.
