Allegri is Napoli's new head coach

The awaited official announcement about the manager's seat at Napoli has arrived. The club announced it has reached an agreement with experienced Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri. The 58-year-old Allegri signed a three-year contract running until 30 June 2029.

Allegri comes into the role following the departure of Antonio Conte, who finished second in the league with the team. Although the experienced manager has managed clubs such as Juventus and AC Milan throughout his career, he is taking charge of Napoli for the first time. Opening a new chapter after his second stint at Milan ended with a late-season slump, Allegri is expected to take Napoli's sporting project into a new era. It was recalled that in that period the club finished fifth in the league at Milan, missing out on the Champions League.

Having achieved significant success in his career, Allegri stands out as a figure with six Serie A titles. The experienced manager won five consecutive league titles at Juventus, whom he managed from 2014 to 2019, taking the team to the Champions League final twice in that period. It is also known that Allegri wore the Napoli shirt as a player during the 1997/98 season; in that respect the manager has a connection with the club dating back to the past.

It was stated that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis trusts Allegri's experience and his ability to manage competitive teams. According to reports, the new manager has already begun shaping his tactical planning and his work regarding the summer transfer window.
