A new name has emerged in Fenerbahce's search for a striker. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 29-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus, sidelined at Arsenal and also linked with Napoli in Italy, has been offered to Fenerbahce through his agents. Looking to add another striker following the signing of Vedat Muriqi, the club's management is said to be weighing up the proposal.
According to the report, the company representing Gabriel Jesus, owned by the Branchini family, has sent word to Fenerbahce's management that they could bring the player to the club. It's also noted that Jesus' name has been linked in the same period with clubs such as Besiktas, Juventus and Milan, while in Italy, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has shown strong interest in the player. On Napoli's side, this move could reportedly accelerate once the club completes the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Fenerbahce.
Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and contributed six goals and two assists in 27 appearances last season, has a contract with Arsenal running until 2027, with his current market value estimated at €17 million. Having made 442 appearances across his career for Palmeiras, Manchester City and Arsenal, contributing 115 goals and 75 assists, and earning 64 caps for Brazil, the experienced forward's future is expected to become clearer in the coming days.
