The third week of the English Premier League witnessed a breathtaking clash between two London giants who had started the season perfectly with 2 wins out of 2. Mikel Arteta's Arsenal hosted Xabi Alonso's Chelsea in a highly anticipated derby. The victorious side in this intense tactical battle was Arsenal, who managed to secure a 2-1 win despite falling behind early in the match. Following this crucial result, Arsenal extended their winning streak to 3 matches, raising their points tally to 9 and settling in second place just behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference. The visiting team, Chelsea, started the match much faster and more effectively. Quickly shaking off the shock of conceding an early goal, Arsenal took control of the game and increased their pressure for an equalizer. In the final moments of the first half, in the 45th minute, Kai Havertz stepped up to convert Declan Rice's brilliant assist, bringing the score to 1-1 before heading into the dressing room.

The hosts started the second half with the same desire. Arteta's men managed to take the lead for the first time in the 58th minute with a stylish goal by captain Martin Odegaard, assisted by Christos Tzolis. Despite Alonso's substitutions, Chelsea could not break the defense.
