Atletico's Price for Sorloth Set: €40 Million

Alexander Sorloth's future remains a talking point again this summer. According to journalist Ertan Suzgun, Atletico Madrid have set a clear asking price for the Norwegian forward: €40 million. Signed from Villarreal for around €32 million in the summer of 2024 on a four-year contract, Sorloth has struggled to secure a permanent place in Diego Simeone's plans at the Spanish club.

According to the report, the player's name has frequently come up alongside Turkish clubs throughout this process. Fenerbahce have been among the sides most closely tracking Sorloth since last winter's transfer window, with the club president having spoken directly with the player and gradually raising an offer from €25 million to €30 million. Besiktas have also previously shown interest in signing him on loan, with Sorloth familiar with the Super Lig from his time at Trabzonspor.

The 32-year-old's spell at Atletico Madrid has been inconsistent, with the striker often finding himself on the bench. Clubs including Juventus, Napoli, Como, Everton and Newcastle have also periodically monitored Sorloth's situation. Atletico are said to be unwilling to entertain any offer below their €40 million valuation, meaning interested clubs would need to move closer to that figure for a deal to happen.
