BAENA BOMBARDS MOURINHO: HE IS JUST A BAD LOSER

Spanish football continues to discuss the repercussions of the giant derby played at the Metropolitano Stadium. Atletico Madrid defeated its eternal rival Real Madrid 2-1 at the end of a tough ninety minutes. Following the final whistle, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho's show with the papers in his hand on the touchline and at the post-match press conference overshadowed the derby. This interesting method used by the Portuguese coach to criticize referee decisions created a massive debate in the Spanish press. Shortly after this event, the talented footballer Álex Baena, who plays for both Atletico Madrid and the Spain National Team, answered the questions of journalists in the mixed zone after the tough national match Spain played against England. A reporter directly asked Baena about these eventful attitudes of Mourinho after the derby. Hearing the question, the Spanish star targeted the rival team's manager with very harsh words. Arguing that Mourinho's behaviors were entirely a perception game to cover up the failure on the pitch, Baena listed his criticisms by saying, "He’s complaining because he LOST. When Real Madrid lose, he always looks for other excuses instead of focusing on himself." Continuing his statements with the same harshness, the talented player directly referred to the actions Mourinho made with the documents and said, "That whole show with the papers was just the behaviour of a BAD LOSER." These direct and striking statements Baena made to reporters after the England match carry the tension in the football public to a much higher level. The Atletico Madrid front reacts totally to the overshadowing of the rightful victory they won on the pitch by such off-pitch movements. The football world now awaits the answer Mourinho will give to these heavy words with curiosity.
