Barcelona Preparing Official Bid for Fisnik Asllani

Barcelona, searching for attacking reinforcements following Robert Lewandowski's departure, have once again turned their attention to 23-year-old Kosovan forward Fisnik Asllani. According to Sport, the Catalan club views Asllani as an attractive "Plan B" should they fail to land priority target Julian Alvarez, with the striker's modest €29 million release clause making him a highly accessible option for Barcelona.

According to the report, RB Leipzig had nearly completed a deal for the player, but Asllani has held off on his move to Germany until the last moment, hoping for a call from Barcelona. German outlet Bild has reported that the player has chosen Leipzig and that a transfer is imminent, though Spanish media suggest Barcelona's potential involvement remains on the table. Asllani, who contributed 10 goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim last season and stands out for his aerial power at 1.91 metres, has previously described Barcelona as his dream club.

Head coach Hansi Flick is said to be impressed by the player's intense pressing and his ability to finish with both feet. A product of Union Berlin's academy who spent loan spells at Austria Vienna and Elversberg and remains under contract with Hoffenheim until 2029, Asllani is viewed as a low-cost option Barcelona could bring in should Ferran Torres complete a move to PSG.
