Ferran Torres' future continues to dominate headlines in Spain and France, but the latest update from Fabrizio Romano has brought some clarity. According to the Italian transfer specialist, Barcelona have not held any talks with another club over selling the forward, despite genuine interest from PSG. Torres, who became an overnight sensation after scoring in the World Cup final and enjoyed a strong campaign at Camp Nou, had emerged as one of PSG's priority targets heading into the new season.
Per Romano, PSG's interest has so far been limited to conversations with the player's representatives, with no official offer submitted to Barcelona. The French champions are reportedly looking to capitalise on Torres' contract situation, with the deal set to expire in 2027, in hopes of securing a cut-price transfer. However, the Spanish club has made clear it sees Torres as an important attacking piece following Robert Lewandowski's departure, and is not warming to that scenario.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta also addressed the situation in recent weeks, saying: "Ferran Torres to PSG? We don't have any confirmation on this. He's a Barca player and he's doing very well at the World Cup too." The latest developments suggest Torres remaining at Camp Nou in the short term is currently more likely than a move to PSG.
