Besiktas' pursuit of Dusan Vlahovic, ongoing since June, has reached a critical stage. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club's management has sent their final offer to the Serbian striker and his representatives and is working to finalise the deal in the coming hours. According to the report, negotiations remain ongoing, with Besiktas seeking a final green light from Vlahovic and his camp.
It's recalled that the 26-year-old Serbian forward, who became a free agent after leaving Juventus on a Bosman deal, has been considering an offer that has sat on the table for over two months since Besiktas' initial approach in early June. Head coach Vincenzo Italiano is said to have been persistent in pursuing this transfer, leveraging his relationship with the player from their time together at Fiorentina and making direct efforts to convince him.
According to the report, Besiktas' package includes a net annual salary of €8 million plus a significant signing bonus, with the contract said to run for three years until 2029. Having scored 21 goals in Serie A last season, Vlahovic is said to be seriously considering Besiktas' offer as the top of his table after the concrete offer he had hoped for from Europe's major clubs failed to materialise. Should the transfer become official, it would represent one of Besiktas' biggest star signings of the summer.
