Besiktas have turned their attention to Arsenal's Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus in their search for an experienced attacking addition. According to TransferFeed, the Turkish club is among the Turkish sides that have made contact with the player's club. The report states that Arsenal, with Jesus entering the final period of his contract, will only consider permanent transfer offers and are seeking a fee of £20 million for the 29-year-old.
According to the report, the English club is not keen on a loan structure and are keeping only the permanent transfer option on the table regarding the player's departure. Besiktas head coach Vincenzo Italiano is said to have given a positive report on the experienced striker, who is looking for a team where he can play regularly again. Gabriel Jesus' name has also been linked in this process not only with Besiktas but with clubs such as Palmeiras, Juventus and AC Milan.
Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City for £45 million in 2022 and has seen his role at the club diminish steadily since, is said to have seen his market value drop significantly compared to his original transfer fee. It's worth recalling that Fenerbahce had previously shown interest in the player through a loan structure, though Arsenal remain closed to that option, and whether Besiktas can complete this transfer by meeting the £20 million demand should become clear in the coming days.
