Bosnia & Herzegovina Lead 1-0 at Half-Time

In the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group B opening match, Bosnia & Herzegovina led Canada 1-0 in the first half at BMO Field. The only goal of the match was scored in the 21st minute by Jovan Lukic. Lukic, who converted the assist of Bosnian captain Sead Kolasinac, struck a blow against the host team. Canada, who looked dominant statistically, could not get into effective positions.

The first warning of the match came in the 11th minute to Canada's Alistair Johnston; he was shown a yellow card for tripping. In the 21st minute, Bosnia & Herzegovina's only meaningful attack turned into a goal: Kolasinac's cross was sent into the net by Lukic. On the Bosnia & Herzegovina side, Ermedin Demirovic was shown a yellow card in the 45th minute and Lukic in the 45+1 for pushing.
