A development that could shake up the NBA landscape has emerged from Boston. According to longtime Celtics insider John Karalis, club president Brad Stevens has called Warriors management to pitch a trade for Stephen Curry. "There's no doubt Brad Stevens has already been on the phone with the Warriors brass to pitch a deal," Karalis reported, adding that Boston has a viable path to a deal that works for both sides.

Stevens, who sent Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers this summer in exchange for Paul George and future draft picks, faced criticism for the move, with fans concerned about missing out on the Eastern Conference playoff race. But Stevens' sights are now set on a much bigger target: Stephen Curry. According to a proposed trade package shared by NBABase, the Celtics would receive Curry while sending Paul George, Sam Hauser and two first-round picks (via Philadelphia) to the Warriors.

Curry's loyalty to Golden State spans 17 years, and he has shown no indication of wanting to leave. Warriors management is also reportedly preparing to offer Curry a maximum contract extension this August. The four-time champion, two-time MVP, and 12-time All-Star, now 38, proved last season he remains one of the league's most effective offensive engines, averaging 26.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists across 43 games.
