The long-awaited breakthrough in Mohamed Salah's move to Trabzonspor has finally arrived. According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who shared the news today, Trabzonspor have reached a two-year agreement with the Egyptian star. The development follows the formal offer submitted days earlier (a two-year deal worth €17 million per season) and reports that Salah would consult his family before making his final decision.
The Turkish club has reportedly been working intensively to formalise the transfer as quickly as possible. Salah, long linked with Besiktas and previously said to have a verbal agreement with that club over a 1+1 year deal worth €10 million net annually, parted ways with Besiktas after financial disagreements. Trabzonspor's move to step in has been widely described as a "hijack" of the deal.
Salah, who left Liverpool as a free agent after nine years at Anfield, would complete one of the biggest transfers in Super Lig history should the deal be finalised. Trabzonspor supporters flooded social media with excitement following the news. An official confirmation of the transfer is expected in the coming hours or days.
