Morgan Gibbs-White's future is shaping up to be one of the summer transfer window's most intriguing storylines. According to Mail Sport, Bayern Munich are weighing up adding the English midfielder to their shortlist should Michael Olise's rumoured move to Real Madrid materialise. The success stories of Harry Kane's 2023 switch from Tottenham to Bayern and Jude Bellingham's exploits at Real Madrid are said to be encouraging other English stars to consider a move abroad.
According to the report, while Chelsea showed "growing interest" in Gibbs-White earlier this summer, the player's desire to play Champions League football stands as the main obstacle to that move. With Chelsea not competing in the Champions League next season, the London club is effectively ruled out of contention. Nottingham Forest are said to value the midfielder at around £125 million.
Gibbs-White's switch in representation from CAA Stellar to the ROOF agency has further fuelled speculation, with the same agency also representing Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Konrad Laimer, strengthening the German connection. Saudi side Al-Hilal have also shown interest in the 26-year-old, though it's noted such a move would represent a major decision at this stage of his career. Forest are said to have no current intention of selling, with new head coach Oliver Glasner having placed Gibbs-White at the centre of his project since arriving at the club.
