Despite Besiktas' Lucrative Offer, Vlahovic Eyes Barcelona

The future of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic, a free agent following his split from Juventus, remains unresolved. According to Sport, Besiktas have presented the forward with a highly attractive package: an €8 million net annual salary plus a signing bonus. Head coach Vincenzo Italiano, who worked with Vlahovic during his best spell at Fiorentina, has reportedly urged the club's management to remain patient in trying to convince him. Despite this, the player has yet to give a clear response to the offer.

According to the report, Vlahovic's true target remains Barcelona. Earlier in the summer, his representatives presented the Catalan club with a package that included an €8 million net annual salary, a signing bonus approaching €15 million, and agent commissions — terms Barcelona considered excessive and did not act on further. Over time, the player has reportedly lowered his demands, while Barcelona have not completely closed the door. Although Julian Alvarez remains the club's priority target, a potential move for Ferran Torres to PSG could open the door to pursuing an additional striker.

Vlahovic reportedly wants his future resolved within the first week of August so he can begin pre-season with his new club rather than waiting until the closing days of the window. The player has made clear to those close to him that he would only be willing to lower his demands if Barcelona or a club of similar stature comes calling. Besiktas, for their part, have signalled they won't wait indefinitely and are prepared to explore alternative striker targets if no clear answer arrives soon.
