Dusan Vlahovic Gives Besiktas the Green Light

Progress is being reported in Dusan Vlahovic's potential move to Besiktas. According to Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old Serbian striker, who became a free agent after leaving Juventus on a Bosman deal, has grown tired of the lengthy waiting period and wants to return to the pitch as soon as possible, and has begun sending positive signals toward Besiktas. According to the report, journalist Giovanni Albanese states that the Turkish club are the most serious and determined suitor in this pursuit, with the existing relationship between head coach Vincenzo Italiano and Vlahovic from their time together at Fiorentina providing a significant advantage.

According to the report, Besiktas' management has intensified contact with the player's father, Milos Vlahovic, and his agent in an effort to reach a final agreement; the Turkish club's offer is said to include an annual salary of around €8-10 million along with a signing bonus of a similar amount. It's recalled that Juventus had previously offered the player a renewal at a significantly reduced salary, though Vlahovic chose to wait and see whether other offers would materialise.

Having scored 21 goals in Serie A last season and once considered untouchable, Vlahovic drew interest from clubs including Inter, Milan and Napoli following his departure from Juventus as a free agent, though it's noted that interest from those clubs has since cooled. Besiktas are said to stand out as the only club to have presented a tangible offer, and with the anticipated call from one of Europe's top five leagues failing to materialise, Vlahovic is now said to be ready to accept the invitation to move to Istanbul. With Mohamed Salah's move to Besiktas also at an advanced stage, the club is reportedly using that signing as an additional draw for Vlahovic.
