A major development has occurred regarding Erden Timur, the former Vice President of Galatasaray Sportif A.Ş. and Chairman of NEF Holding, who was arrested as part of a football betting and money laundering investigation. Following a review of the petition submitted by his lawyers, the prosecutor's office recommended his release.
The Istanbul Criminal Judicature of Peace evaluated the request and ordered Timur's release under judicial control conditions. According to the ruling, a laboratory international travel ban has been imposed on Timur, alongside the obligation to regularly sign in at a local police station. Timur had been in custody since December 29.
