Fenerbahçe close to happy ending in Greenwood deal

A development set to mark Fenerbahçe's summer transfer window is taking shape. According to reports, the yellow-and-navy club has reached the stage of finalizing the transfer of English forward Mason Greenwood, who plays for Marseille. The final act appears to have opened in this long-discussed transfer.

For the 24-year-old player, whom Marseille had previously priced at €50 million, it was reported that the two sides have agreed on a fee of €40 million including bonuses. Fenerbahçe is said to have taken a persistent stance in this transfer, not backing down in the negotiations. It was stated that Greenwood himself has also given his approval for the move.

According to reports, the Süper Lig giants have also initiated parallel talks with the player's former club, Manchester United, to complete the transfer process.
