Following His Father’s Footsteps: Davide Ancelotti Becomes Lille's New Head Coach

French Ligue 1 contenders Lille have entrusted their managerial seat to Davide Ancelotti, the son of Carlo Ancelotti, one of the most respected figures in world football. Following years of high-level experience working in his father’s coaching staff, the Italian manager has signed an official contract with the French club to continue his journey as a head coach.

The 35-year-old Ancelotti, who stepped into his head coaching career in 2025, had his first managerial experience in Brazil. Making a strong impression in South American football at the helm of Botafogo, the young tactician guided the team to a 6th-place finish in the league marathon, securing a Copa Libertadores ticket for the club. Following this successful spell, Ancelotti returned to his role as an assistant coach for the Brazil National Team, but has now stepped back into the heart of European football with the offer from Lille.

Expressing his excitement about this new adventure after the signing ceremony, the 35-year-old manager shared his feelings with the club's media:
