From Barcelona to PSG: Ferran Torres on His Way

Ferran Torres' time at Barcelona appears to be drawing to a close. According to Marca's Luis F. Rojo, the Spanish forward is on the verge of joining PSG, with only a dramatic late twist expected to derail the move. Talks between Barcelona and PSG have reportedly been ongoing discreetly for several days, conducted between sporting directors Deco and Luis Campos, whose close relationship has helped facilitate negotiations.

According to the report, Barcelona had scheduled a meeting with Torres for Wednesday upon his return for pre-season alongside Spain's World Cup-winning internationals, but that meeting is now expected to be unnecessary, as the player's representatives have already informed Barcelona that he wants to move to Paris. Torres is said to have reached personal terms with PSG and is set to sign a four-year contract, leaving only the final details between the two clubs to be finalised.

Torres, 26, who joined Barcelona from Manchester City for €55 million in late 2021 and has since delivered 65 goals and 23 assists in 207 appearances, is expected to command a fee in excess of €50 million — a figure Barcelona had reportedly already budgeted for before the World Cup. Under former Spain head coach Luis Enrique at PSG, there could be room for Torres should Bradley Barcola depart the club.
