Victor Osimhen, who successfully completed his 3rd season at the Galatasaray team and became the darling of the fans, told all his difficult life to everyone in the deep article he wrote for The Players Tribune on February 18, 2026. The Nigerian striker started his words by saying, "My mother died when I was just a baby. The only thing left in my mind is her holding me in her arms." and remembered his dark childhood passed with poverty. The talented player, who grew up right next to a giant dump in the city of Lagos, confessed with all his nakedness that he found even his boots from that chemical dump by saying, "I was a kid with Nike on one foot and Puma on the other. One is size 40, the other is size 38." The star name conveyed the heavy devastation he experienced with the death of his father and the historical championship he won with Napoli to the sports public with all his sincerity. The successful striker, who took a very radical decision for his career after his unforgettable adventure in Italy, told the pressures around him with the words, "Do you know how many people told me, 'Why are you going to Turkey, did you go crazy?' when I left Napoli? Even a former manager of mine told me, 'Do not go there, it is not a smart move.'" He expressed his great bond to the yellow-red club with these words: "I think completely with my heart, not with my head. I wanted to play at Galatasaray. I wanted to go to one of the most passionate top 3 clubs in the world. Those who live football as a real love story, not as a job. This feeling is definitely more valuable than money." Stating that thousands of fans waiting for him at the airport in the middle of the night welcomed him, the striker said that he felt that passion in his heart every moment he took the pitch. This epic journey became a tremendous survival struggle. This unique story will continue to be a great inspiration source for all children. Fans will keep these words in their memories for years.
