Galatasaray Firmly Denies "I'm Tired of Politics" Claims

Following the statements attributed to Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek that caused a massive stir in the sports media today, a very clear official denial came from the yellow-red club. It was stated that the words appearing in some media outlets, claiming Özbek said, "I am very tired and sick of Galatasaray politics, I would have left the post after the fourth championship if it weren't for the facilities and projects," are completely unfounded. In the official statement made by Galatasaray Sports Club, it was emphasized that the allegations in question absolutely do not reflect the truth, stating, "Our president has never made any statement along the lines of 'I am tired of Galatasaray politics' as claimed in the aforementioned news."

Underlining strongly that fans should not rely on such speculative news aimed at damaging the unity and solidarity of the community, the statement expressed that Dursun Özbek and the board of directors continue their work in full harmony and high motivation for the club's success and the completion of ongoing projects. It was pointed out that the timing of these news, intentionally put forward at the most critical turn of the championship march and European goals, is quite meaningful. Club officials put an end to the discussions by reminding once again that only information from official channels should be considered against such baseless claims intended to disrupt the on-pitch concentration of the yellow-red community.
