Galatasaray in Official Talks With Frankfurt Over Can Uzun

Galatasaray have taken a significant step forward in their pursuit of Turkey international Can Uzun. According to journalist Ertan Suzgun, the Turkish champions have begun official talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over the 20-year-old No. 10. The report notes there is a €10 million gap between Galatasaray's offer and Frankfurt's demand, with negotiations continuing around that figure.

Galatasaray's management is said to have presented Frankfurt with a comprehensive offer consisting of a €35 million guaranteed fee, €5 million in performance-related bonuses, and a sell-on clause. However, Frankfurt reportedly consider the package insufficient for a player they view as one of European football's rising young talents, insisting that the full amount — around €50 million — be paid in cash. Talks between the two sides remain ongoing, with Galatasaray's management said to be working on alternative payment structures to complete the deal.

Can Uzun, who made 28 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt last season with 10 goals and six assists and is currently valued at €45 million, is said to want to continue his career at Galatasaray and views the club's project favourably. Under contract with Frankfurt until 2029, the player is reportedly awaiting the outcome of the negotiations. The Turkish club is said to be aiming to complete the transfer quickly should common ground be found.
