Galatasaray link resurfaces: the Jamal Musiala file

A claim regarding the future of Bayern Munich's German star has resurfaced. According to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Bayern Munich want to loan out Jamal Musiala.

The origin of this claim actually traces back to a story that has been circulating for some time. According to an earlier report from Hurriyet, Musiala had been offered on loan to Galatasaray by his agents, with the background to this proposal linked to the arrival of PSV's Ismael Saibari, who plays a similar number 10 role; however, no evidence was provided that this claim was based on concrete talks between the clubs or the player, and no confirmation had emerged from Germany either.

From Bayern's side, the picture paints a different direction. It was emphasised that there was, at the time, little to suggest this scenario would materialise; it is recalled that Musiala recently extended his contract until 2029 and remains one of the club's most recognisable faces.

The player's current physical condition also makes this scenario less likely. According to a report from Kicker, the 23-year-old underwent a planned surgery to remove a metal plate left over from the serious leg injury he suffered at the 2025 Club World Cup, following Germany's early exit from the World Cup; he is expected to return to individual training at the end of July, having been granted a few extra days of holiday following discussions with head coach Vincent Kompany.

Given this context, the certainty of the file remains debatable. It is worth noting that Sabuncuoglu's claim may reflect market speculation rather than an official club plan.
