Galatasaray are preparing an ambitious transfer swoop for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes. According to HTSpor, the Turkish champions are ready to offer the Portuguese playmaker a net salary in excess of €15 million per year. Head coach Okan Buruk reportedly views Fernandes as his "dream" candidate for the central attacking midfield role, and the player is said to be open to the Istanbul project should Galatasaray reach a financial agreement with Manchester United over the fee.
The 31-year-old's contract includes a €65 million release clause applicable to clubs outside England, while Manchester United are said to value him at around €75 million. Fernandes, who broke the Premier League's all-time single-season assists record last year with 21, remains a player United's hierarchy would prefer to keep, though the club is not expected to stand in his way should he wish to leave.
Having previously turned down substantial offers from the Saudi Pro League while maintaining excellent form, Fernandes' situation still presents a challenging negotiation for Galatasaray. The club is reportedly planning to hold direct talks with both Manchester United officials and Fernandes' representatives in the coming days to move the process forward.
