Galatasaray have turned their attention to Saudi Arabia in their search for defensive reinforcements. According to journalist Burhan Can Terzi, the Turkish club is interested in NEOM SC's Nathan Zeze, a France U21 international, and are planning to bring in the 21-year-old centre-back on a loan deal that includes a purchase option. Zeze joined NEOM from French club Nantes for a fee of €20 million last summer.
Described as a player with strong potential, Zeze made 32 appearances in his first season with the Saudi club, contributing two goals and an assist alongside his defensive performances. His current market value is also reported to sit at around €20 million, matching his transfer fee. The left-footed defender, whose name has been put forward to Galatasaray through agents, is said to be keen to leave Saudi Arabia.
Galatasaray are expected to see significant transfer activity from the start of August. It's noted the club feels no particular time pressure in the market, given that they will go straight into the Champions League group stage without needing to play qualifying rounds. The process for Zeze's loan is said to be ongoing, with developments being closely monitored.
