Galatasaray's Wild Transfer Bid: Kevin De Bruyne

Galatasaray are preparing to make a jaw-dropping move in their new season transfer plans. According to transfer insider Ekrem Konur, the club's management is preparing a high-salary, two-year offer for Kevin De Bruyne, who joined Napoli on a free transfer from Manchester City last summer. The Belgian star's growing frustration with his situation at the Italian club is said to be the main reason Galatasaray see an opportunity worth pursuing.

Even before the serious injury that kept the 35-year-old midfielder out of action from October 2025 to March 2026, he had expressed irritation with coach Antonio Conte's tactics, criticising them on several occasions as too negative and defensive. He is reportedly seeing little improvement on that front following the arrival of new boss Max Allegri. De Bruyne remains under contract with Napoli until June 30, 2027, meaning Galatasaray would need to negotiate with the Italian club should they turn their interest into a formal bid.

A UEFA Champions League winner with Manchester City in 2022-23 and multiple-time Premier League champion, De Bruyne has registered five goals and two assists in 18 Serie A appearances for Napoli. Still a central figure for Belgium, who he helped at the 2026 World Cup with a goal in five appearances, his current market value sits at around €8 million — a relatively affordable price given his pedigree, which could make him an appealing target for Galatasaray.
