Inter prepare second offer for Curtis Jones

There is movement in a transfer on Inter's midfield agenda. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club is preparing to restart negotiations for Liverpool's English midfielder Curtis Jones. This development marks a new stage in the long-running transfer saga surrounding the player.

According to reports, Inter's first offer of €20 million was rejected by Liverpool. The English club is reported to be demanding a fee of around €30-35 million for the player. This gap stands out as the main reason talks between the two clubs have so far failed to produce a result.

It is reported that Inter president Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are planning to submit a new offer in the €25-30 million range and are confident they can complete the deal. It is stated that the club aims to make use of the fact that Jones's contract with Liverpool expires in a year's time, which is seen as a factor strengthening Inter's negotiating position.

It is stated that manager Cristian Chivu views the England international as the ideal profile to complete his squad. This interest, which also came up during the January winter transfer window but did not lead anywhere, is reported to become Inter's priority again once the transfer of Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise is completed. According to reports, Curtis Jones himself has given his approval for a move to Serie A, which strengthens the likelihood that the deal will be completed in the coming period.
