Inter's New Target: Nico Gonzalez

Inter have once again turned their attention to Nico Gonzalez in their search for right-wing reinforcements. According to Sky Sports, the Milan club, left with a gap in that position following Denzel Dumfries' move to Real Madrid, has brought the Juventus winger back onto their shortlist as an alternative, with Moussa Diaby remaining their primary target — a deal complicated by Al-Ittihad's reluctance to be flexible over the player's high salary. Gonzalez, 28, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid without truly convincing, drew attention with his performances for Argentina at the 2026 World Cup.

According to the report, Inter have made initial contact with the player's entourage, and head coach Cristian Chivu is said to have given his approval for the move. Juventus, meanwhile, are said to want around €30 million for a permanent sale, though they could also consider a loan with an option to buy. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gonzalez himself has no intention of returning to Juventus, a factor seen as a significant advantage for Inter.

Inter are not alone in the race, with Atletico Madrid also reportedly open to bringing the player back into their squad. Gonzalez, who joined Juventus from Fiorentina last summer and endured an inconsistent debut season, is currently valued at €22 million by Transfermarkt. Negotiations remain at an early stage, but Inter's management are said to be closely monitoring developments and ready to act should the right conditions emerge.
