Jadon Sancho, once regarded as one of England's brightest talents, is enduring the most difficult stretch of his career. According to The Sun, the 26-year-old winger, who became a free agent after his Manchester United contract expired in June, has received no concrete offers from clubs in the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1. It is a striking situation for a player once signed by United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million.
Per the report, Sancho has been using non-league Flixton's 2,000-capacity Valley Road ground to maintain his fitness and sharpness. Recent comments made by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola about the player have drawn renewed attention in light of the situation. Sancho's time at Manchester United, which began with his 2021 move, ended with just 83 appearances, 12 goals and six assists, with half of his contract spent out on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
With his market value sitting at around €18 million according to Transfermarkt, it's noted that any interested club would only need to agree salary terms to sign him. Borussia Dortmund had previously been reported as open to giving the player a route back to rebuild his career, with senior figures at the German club said to still hold him in high regard and believe his style would suit the team once again.
