Jalen Brunson: "I Still Have a Lot of Work to Do"

After leading the New York Knicks to their first NBA championship in 53 years and being named Finals MVP, Jalen Brunson revealed that he has lost absolutely none of his motivation or relentless work ethic despite achieving this historic milestone. Not allowing himself to become complacent after reaching the pinnacle of his career, the star point guard provided highly inspiring and clear answers to questions about how winning the championship has affected him in his latest interview with the New York Post.

Brunson stated, "My approach never changed, I wouldn't do that. It's something that I get to walk around with and think about when I need to give myself a little confidence, or whatever, just in certain situations. But my approach and everything has to be the same." He emphasized that the victory is merely a source of confidence to draw upon during challenging moments.

Expressing that wearing the championship badge is not an end for him, but rather a stepping stone to set sail for new goals, the talented basketball player sent an implicit message to his rivals: "Just because I've reached the mountaintop of winning an NBA championship doesn't mean that it's over with. I feel like there's still a lot more to do and a lot more that I can prove." Although Brunson proved himself individually by delivering phenomenal performances last season to carry his team to the title, he stressed that he will continue working to push the team's success even further.

Finally, noting that this massive triumph will always be in the back of his mind without letting it take over his identity, the star player once again proved his humility and professionalism by stating, "It's 100 percent always going to be in the mind. I'm just not going to let it define me."
