The Los Angeles Lakers have made their stance clear regarding Bronny James' future with the club following LeBron James' move to the Philadelphia 76ers. According to Lake Show Life, the Lakers' front office views the 21-year-old guard as an important part of their future and believes in his development.

According to the report, the Lakers currently have 16 players under guaranteed contracts and must trim that number to 15 before the regular season begins. However, it's noted that the club has not placed Bronny James on the roster-crunch list, instead working toward waiving or trading one of Jarred Vanderbilt, Dalton Knecht or Jaden Hardy.

Bronny James, who holds a team option for the 2027-28 season and is earning $2.2 million this year, is said to have failed to secure a consistent rotation role during his first two NBA seasons, though he has shown improvement as a shooter. With the Lakers aiming to build a championship roster around Luka Doncic, the young guard is expected to contribute more next season, and the club's confidence in him is said to be reflected in its roster decisions.
