PJANIC'S FREE KICK SECRET: "ALLEGRI STOPPED RONALDO"

Former Juventus star Miralem Pjanic went back to past years in his last interview and told that unforgettable free kick memory they experienced with Cristiano Ronaldo. The successful Bosnian midfielder confessed the interesting method manager Massimiliano Allegri resorted to in order to stop the Portuguese superstar. This historical event took place in the Serie A on March 3, 2019, where Juventus defeated Napoli 2-1 away. In the 25th minute, Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret made a harsh intervention on Cristiano Ronaldo outside the penalty area and the referee showed a red card. While the Portuguese star experienced a slight injury on the ground, he absolutely wanted to take the free kick himself. However, Massimiliano Allegri intervened very quickly from the sideline and cleverly ensured that Pjanic took that free kick. Miralem Pjanic told those moments with these words: "We played in Napoli and we won the match. Cristiano was on the pitch and he wanted to take the free kick. However, Cris got injured in the position where goalkeeper Meret received a red card. When Allegri saw this, he sent the doctor and physiotherapist to Cristiano. The free kick position was also very suitable, so I took the ball and scored a goal. This was the only way Allegri allowed it. There was no other possibility for me to take the free kick. So thank you, Allegri." This clever move showed the dynamics of the Juventus team to the football fans once again. The fans welcomed this cunning move made by the legendary coach with a smile. The experienced manager, who found a creative way to restrain Ronaldo's ambition, succeeded in receiving praise from the public even years later. In the future, such clever tactics will continue to be talked about in the football world. Everyone will keep this memory for a long time.
