Mahmut Uslu's Harsh Reaction to the Federation and Referees

Fenerbahçe executive Mahmut Uslu made a harsh statement targeting both the Turkish Football Federation and the referees who officiated the match, following the 2-1 defeat to Gençlerbirliği. Uslu began his remarks by saying, "We have our Champions League play-off match on Tuesday. We requested a postponement, but they didn't grant it either. Yet today we saw that the same mindset continues."

The executive also reacted sharply to the referee decisions in the match: "Two of our penalties weren't given. We are specifically asking the TFF president, please don't let this kind of thing happen." Uslu's words openly reveal the club's frustration both over the federation's rejection of the postponement request and the refereeing decisions during the match.

Uslu went on to emphasise the club's determination: "We will take every precaution. We came here for a year. We want to compete under equal conditions. We will do whatever precaution comes to mind." The executive signalled the club was hardening its stance on the matter, saying, "Nobody should play against Fenerbahçe anymore."

In the closing part of his statement, Uslu said, "We stay quiet and say 'okay, we played badly,' but this can't continue. We will do everything. We've had enough," signalling the club would take a firmer stance going forward. These comments have generated widespread reaction in the football world, reigniting debate over Fenerbahçe's relationship with the federation and referees.
