MANCHESTER CITY FOUND GUILTY OF BREACH: EYES ON APPEAL

The breaking news reported by The Athletic newspaper creates a massive earthquake effect on the English Premier League agenda. The long ongoing investigation finally concluded and Manchester City was officially found guilty on the grounds of breaching financial rules. The dimension of the penalty given to the club did not gain certainty yet, but possibilities such as points deduction, relegation or heavy fines stand on the table. Right after the announcement of the decision, club lawyers held an urgent meeting and started preparing a comprehensive appeal file. The Manchester City management strictly does not accept this decision and tries all legal ways to go to the upper boards. Manchester City President Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the name at the center of the developments, broke his silence and gave a very clear message to the public. President Al Mubarak used the expressions, "There is a very long process ahead of us and we are highly confident in showing that our club is innocent today as it was at the beginning" in the statement he made through the official communication channels of the club. This confident statement creates great unity among the fans. The British sports press states that this giant legal war will be the biggest lawsuit in Premier League history. Hundreds of different allegations in the investigation files are examined separately in the courtrooms. Other Premier League teams followed the outcome of this case with great attention. The process is expected to witness much more heated debates in the upcoming weeks.
