Despite their record-breaking 48 million euro budget established at the beginning of the season, the German giants finished this year entirely without a trophy, causing massive disappointment for their fans. Eliminated by Brose Bamberg in the German Cup semi-finals and losing the league championship to their fierce rival Alba Berlin in the fifth game of the finals, the Bavarian team also failed to secure a playoff ticket in the Euroleague arena. Following legendary coach Svetislav Pesic's open confession that he couldn't create a real "team" out of this player group, the exodus in Munich has officially begun.

The first key figure to leave Bayern after this downward spiral and internal issues was Isiaha Mike. According to significant claims in the Spanish and Italian press, the Canadian star forward has reached a definitive agreement with Bahcesehir College, one of the ambitious and strong teams of the Turkish Basketball Super League. The successful player signed a very lucrative two-year contract with the Istanbul representative, managed by experienced head coach Aleksandar Djordjevic, who previously also coached Bayern.

The financial details of this transfer reflected in the press have drawn considerable attention from the basketball public. Bahcesehir College agreed to pay a buyout fee of around 500 thousand euros to the German club because the 28-year-old player had one year remaining on his ongoing contract with the Bavarian team.
